planet green logotype

In my graphic design class I’m taking through the Art Center at Night program, we’ve been redesigning the corporate identities of a cable channel of our choosing. I chose a really new channel — Planet Green — so I didn’t have to consider the problems that come up when you’re redesigning an iconic logo like, say, MTV’s. And although I like Planet Green’s logotype already, it’s very simple and allows me a lot of legroom to experiment. This is just one design out of many I’m supposed to come up with for the next class, but I hope it’s on the right track.picture-115

I like the deciduous leaf on the conifer! Are you supposed to meld your logo to the vision of the client (i.e. the general look of their website) or is the logo to re-imagine the company’s image?

That’s funny, Shawn — Adam just commented on it. I’ll explain it as having a “pan-tree” aesthetic. I was thinking of maybe changing the color to be a brighter, cheerier green to meld more with the website.
